To Right A Ron...

Okay, I realize that was a super cheeeezy title, but I've got to cleverly find a way to give a man his props!

This is Ron.

Okay, not really.

The "right" Ron actually looks like this:
 Or this:

But I wanted to show you how fun the right Ron can be! He's a teaser - he's easy to be around. And if you don't see him for a while, you'll pick that friendship back up right where you left it. He's just a great guy!

Please allow me to properly introduce you to Ron...

I recently was blessed with the opportunity to play with Ron (and his awesome family.)
He’s got an amazing eye (well, two really) with a design and architecture degree from (HOOK ‘EM)  UT – but what’s amazing is that this dude possesses the ability to get into the psyche of his clients and realize their dream space and make it happen for them.
No, he is not a psychic nor claim to be.  He’s just got “it” – and if you don’t know what I’m talking about, it’s because you’re like me – you don’t have “it” – which is why we would hire someone like Ron.

Well, Ron took me to this amazing place. It’s a home in Austin belonging to some folks with seriously gorgeous taste (I mean, c’mon – they hired Ron, didn’t they?!) With Ron’s finely tuned instrument (one (or both) of his eyes) literally built the history of their family into their design space!

So. Stinkin’. Impressive.

I would attempt to put words to such inspired design, but I fear they’d only cheapen the beauty of what this… (hmmm, words ARE cheap)   is. Yeah, what it just is.
Take a little tour – check it out. And by the way – this is only the BACK PATIO of the house and the sub-rooms for the pool area. Think changing rooms/pool lounge area/outdoor kitchen.

And if you’re looking for someone who will interpret your heart into your home, well – the following information is gold and you’ll want to write this down:  www.RonMalott.com
You're entering a very special space.

This special space happens to allow for a beautiful breeze to pass through.

Fresh Hill Country Air

Ron selected these wonderful pillows for his client who loves all things horse... notice the silver details that bring details of a tack room to their Hill Country home. Personality --- telling you - he knows our psyche!

This serene water feature is actually a pool and spa... but it gets even better...

Where's the edge? Does the water ever end?

The details just don't stop!

Listen... can't you just HEAR the sound of the water... ahhhhh. So RELAXING!

And the details are in this gorgeous glass tile as well. The color selection is completely at peace with the natural hues of water itself!

And a hint of iridescence is a beautiful thing against the glossy nature of water.

You can glide across the water while drinking in the view of the best of the Hill Country -  the trees... or the lake (beyond the trees) depending on your preference.

And this gorgeous staircase winds into the ceiling, revealing another level.

This amazing table is eco-friendly reclaimed wood.

And its' grain is absolutely captivating!

But this is also a home where friends and family are welcome - and comfortable.

No detail left untouched... I adore the arches throughout this space. It frames the amazing staircase beautifully.

Another amazing water feature!

And Ron knew the man of the house needed an outdoor space to grill. Can you imagine getting your grill on here?

This is the back splash over the buffet serving area.

I bet you want to see what's behind door number one...

it's an elegant bedroom with a comfy seating area... under an arch!

Even details in the lighting!
And now we will step into the billiards room.
Black and white family photographs will adorn this shelving unit.

And the opposite wall will become a photographic time capsule for all of the guests who will stay in this Hill Country Hideaway. An instant camera will be available for folks to self-shoot a memory and attach to the wall opposite the shelving unit! This is a Ron original idea! Don't you just love how this guy's mind works?!?!
Just off the billiards room is a wonderful sectional with a great pop of color in pillows. A chocolate brown wall is an amazing backdrop for comfort!
And now, we enter.... THE BUNKHOUSE!
It's a kid-friendly room. (Even this grown-up kid wants to play here!)

The homeowner found these amazing posters and Ron ran with it! Great advice!

The bunkhouse has plenty of room, thanks to incorporating features from the homeowner's beloved ranch... like the welded bed structure and the wooden walls. All straight from the ranch!

Loving the bedding? Think horse blanket! (Fresh of course, and a perfect quilt for each bunkhouse bed!) Another detail to never be ignored... the outlet for each guest at their bed... charge phones or personal gaming devices. Will their guests ever want to leave? Doubt it!
Keep your eye on this guy... he's going places!
This is all I'm going to show you for now. Be sure to check out Ron's website to view other design challenges he's tackled with the wit, charm and practicality that only the right guy --- the right Ron can offer! Probably ought to add his info to your rolodex... stat!
